Jianna’s Chef Publishes Debut Cookbook

Bring a taste of Italy - and a popular Greenville restaurant - into your kitchen.

Restaurant owner and executive chief Michael Kramer has published his debut cookbook under a title you may recognize: Jianna.

Named for his popular Greenville Italian restaurant, the cookbook brings together 100 of the chef's signature dishes and personal favorites from his three-decades long career. The recipes range from Jianna's popular dishes like Spaghetti TBG, Char-Grilled Octopus, and Potato Gnocchi, to personal creations from Chef Kramer.

Two additional Jianna's standouts contribute to the book:

  • Managing partner Andrea Ciavardini-Royko, an advanced sommelier and certified specialist of wine, and
  • Pastry chef Alison Legg.

Jianna the book can be purchased at the restaurant or online.

Jianna opened its doors on Main Street in March 2017 and became an instant Greenville favorite. Prior to his arrival in the Upstate, Chef Kramer helped open famed Charleston eatery McCrady's, which earned a AAA Four-Diamond Award and The recipes range from Jianna's popular dishes like Spaghetti TBG, Char-Grilled Octopus, and Potato Gnocchi, to personal creations was included in Esquire magazine's "Best New Restaurants" in 1999.
