BAR HARBOR, MAINE - Before applying to work as a seasonal employee at Acadia National Park - consider taking one of their free federal resume workshops, offered in partnership with Ellsworth Adult and Community Education.

Applying for a federal job is different than applying to jobs in nearly every other industry and the process can be daunting for first time applicants. Applicants must understand the expectations surrounding federal resumes and the federal application process. These free federal resume workshops will provide prospective seasonal employees with the tools to successfully submit a job application to Acadia National Park.

"Our hiring process has a lot of hoops for applicants to jump through, however, I'm confident that the experience individuals have as seasonal employees makes those extra hurdles well worth it," said Superintendent Kevin Schneider. "On top of having ample opportunities to be out in the park, our supervisors work incredibly hard to give our seasonal staff relevant on the job training and support their personal and professional growth."

Federal Resume Workshops have the option for virtual or in person (248 State Street, Ellsworth) attendance and will be held at the following dates and times:

  • Tuesday, February 4, 6-8 pm (registration coming soon)

We expect seasonal positions in fees and interpretation to be announced throughout the fall. Other available positions across our Maintenance, Visitor and Resource Protection, Resource Management, and Interpretation divisions will be posted throughout the fall and winter. As jobs are announced, they will be shared on our social media pages and website.

Acadia National Park hires more than 100 seasonal employees each year in jobs that have great potential for developing into exciting careers. Seasonal park housing is available on a first come, first served basis. Learn more at go.nps.gov/acadiajobs.
