Traffic Pattern Change - HWY 27/58 & Ridgeway

Starting Monday, July 22, the Iowa DOT's contractor, PCI, will start the next phase of reconstruction work at the IA 27/58 and Ridgeway Avenue intersection. Work in this phase will include reconstruction of the westbound lanes of Ridgeway Avenue, installation of a new box culvert under Ridgeway Avenue, reconstruction of Nordic Drive, and continued reconstruction of the northbound lanes of IA 27/58. In order for the contractor to start, head-to-head Ridgeway Avenue traffic will be shifted to the eastbound lanes and Nordic Drive traffic will be restricted to solely northbound movement at the intersection during this phase. Throughout the summer months, this pattern will change as crews work to rebuild both intersections. The trail adjacent to the project and the crossing at Ridgeway Avenue will be closed due to the intersection work. Below you will find a closure map.

Help keep everyone on the road safe. Drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, you should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
