New Community Health and Safety Director Selected

Henri Hammond-Paul has been selected as the City of Santa Fe's Director of Community Health and Safety, and will oversee Community Services, Recreation, and Emergency Management.

He previously held leadership roles at the United Nations, New Jersey State Government, and Northeastern University.

"Henri is an extraordinary addition to our team. He will make a significant dent in reducing homelessness and making Santa Fe a great place to live," City Manager John Blair said.

Before joining the City, Hammond-Paul was a Senior Fellow at Northeastern University's Burnes Center for Social Change and the GovLab, where he focused on using civic engagement and technology to address social, economic, and environmental challenges. He also served as a senior advisor at the New Jersey Department of Health, playing a key role in the state's COVID-19 response and efforts to strengthen healthcare resilience.
