Time-Saving Tips for Your Construction Request

We've all been there. You've carved out the time to do administrative work and BAM! You don't have the information you need to finish the task. Now, you're not only frustrated, but you've wasted valuable time.

In today's busy world, we know every minute counts. That's why we created a list of documents and information you should have to help complete your new construction application faster and easier.

Sample documentation requirements by project type:

  1. Development Projects:
    For development projects like commercial developments, apartment complexes or subdivisions, please have your construction drawings (Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Structural) available when entering your application.
  1. New Service - Commercial:
    For new commercial services, please have your construction drawings (Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Structural), geographically referenced AutoCAD file in DWG format and property survey with legal description to complete your application.
  1. New Service - Residential:
    For new residential services greater than 400 amps, you will need your site plan, property survey with legal description, electrical prints, and geographically referenced AutoCAD file in DWG format for your service application.
  1. Temporary Electric Service:
    To request temporary electrical service greater than 70 amps, please have your- electrical prints (Riser Diagram, Panel Schedules, and Load Calculations) available when completing your application.
  1. Upgrades and Change to Electric Service:
    To upgrade or change your residential electric service greater than 400 amps and/or all commercial services, you will need to upload your electrical prints (Riser Diagram, Panel Schedules, and Load Calculations) with your application.
