Union City Transit Schedule Changes Begins This Weekend!

To better align bus services with BART's new fall schedule, UC Transit has adjusted bus schedules to better serve the community by maintaining connections with BART trains.

The new schedule will preserve weekday morning and evening peak service on Route 1, 2, and 5 and will also preserve the same number of trips on Routes 3 and 4. Routes 1 and 5 will continue to offer supplemental service on weekdays during the school year as noted on the schedules with an asterisk (*), but will be adjusted based on ridership demand. Route 8 will become the official route number for the New Haven Unified School District's (NHUSD) sponsored seasonal supplemental service, operating on weekdays during the school year; the Route 8 is available to all customers.

Union City Flea

Union City Flea will be impacted the most with the upcoming service changes. Last Fall, the service area expanded to encompass Civic Center, Decoto, Seven Hills, Tamarack, and Tamarack Hills. With the Low Carbon Transit Operations Program (LCTOP) funds for this year, the service area will expand to encompass almost all of Union City east of I-880, with stops to access shopping at the Union Landing Transit Center and at Calaveras Landing. The wait times are expected to be between 15 to 20 minutes for a curb-to-curb service. The expansion of the service area will reflect the same number of service hours that are currently available from 4:41 AM to 8:40 PM.
