First-year student move-in is scheduled for Aug. 17.
Students have been provided their room assignment information and a specific move-in time between 7 a.m. and noon via email. In addition, first-year students received a packet of materials in the mail in early August which includes items for move-in: a designated house rearview mirror hangtag, a key release card and a star sticker (used if you plan to arrive via rideshare, taxi or shuttle). Students should bring these items with them; if students do not have their hangtag and key release card, staff will provide them in the staging areas upon arrival.
To provide a positive and efficient move-in experience, the Office of Housing and Residential Experience carefully manages the process; it is extremely important to follow the directions outlined below. You should NOT report directly to your assigned house. As you arrive to The Ingram Commons, all vehicles will be directed to their designated Staging Areas where room keys are distributed, and vehicles are held until escorted to the houses for unloading.
Students should activate their Mobile Commodore Card prior to arriving on campus, because it is needed to access the residence halls. Instructions for activation are available online.

All unloading zones have a 30-minute limit. Students must move their vehicles to designated student parking immediately after unloading. Students are encouraged to review the campus maps on the Housing websitefor traffic patterns and unloading areas. Carts are available for moving assistance and should be returned immediately after use.
