More Than 100 Events to be Held at the Fourth Eurasian Women's Forum

The programmeof the Fourth Eurasian Women's Forum to be held at the IPA CIS headquarters on 18-20 September has been published - it includes more than 100 events on topical issues.

There are five thematic platforms on women's participation in global processes: "Women Shaping a New Agenda for Peace and Trust", "Women in the New Economic Reality: Technologies and Innovations", "Women for a Healthy Society and Social Well-Being", "Women for a Clean Planet and Food Security", "Women for the Preservation of Traditions and Cultural Diversity".

The key events of the platform "Women Shaping a New Agenda for Peace and Trust" will be the Interparliamentary dialogue "Women's Mission in Shaping a New Agenda for Peace and Trust", as well as the Open Meeting of the Women 20 (W20) "Going Global: Women's Organizations and Multilateral Institutions".

Rapid technological changes, the formation of a new economic model of the world and women's adaptation to these processes will be considered at the events of the platform "Women in the New Economic Reality: Technologies and Innovations".

The main discussions of the platform "Women for a Healthy Society and Social Well-Being" will focus on the mission of women in ensuring social progress and preserving the health of present and future generations.

In the platform "Women for a Clean Planet and Food Security", participants will discuss maintaining a balance between food security and environmental well-being, adapting to inevitable climate change, and realizing a just low-carbon energy transition.

The work of the platform "Women for the Preservation of Traditions and Cultural Diversity" will focus on the role of traditions in modern culture, in the modern economy, and in the formation of a solidarity-based society. The winners of the competition "Women for the Preservation of Traditions", which has attracted more than one million views, will also be announced.

The Russian Federation's BRICS chairmanship this year has given a special place in the programme to the issues of expanding international cooperation among the member countries of the association. On the third day of the Eurasian Women's Forum, the BRICS Women's Forum will be held on its margins for the first time.

The event is organized by the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States (IPA CIS). The Forum operator is the Roscongress Foundation. The main theme of the Forum is "Women for Strengthening Trust and Global Cooperation".
