Transdev and the Municipal Police join forces to improve safety in Bar le Duc

Transdev and the City of Bar-le-Duc sign an agreement to reinforce the capacity of the municipal police to intervene on TUB network buses.

Although the TUB network is not experiencing any real safety problems on a daily basis, the municipality of Bar-le-Duc and Transdev have signed a partnership agreement to give municipal police officers access to buses during patrols.

With a view to improving proximity to the population, preventing incivilities and resolving traffic problems, Bar-le-Duc municipal police officers will now be able to intervene on the network, carry out checks or carry out mediation missions with the agreement of the Meuse Grand Sud Agglomeration Community (AOM).

Delphine DORION, Director of Transdev Haute-Marne, Sud Meuse and Lunéville, emphasized at the signing of the agreement, the major interest of this cooperation, made possible by the Savary Law of 2016, which will not only ensure the safety of driving or control staff, but also reassure passenger customers and encourage them to use public transport.

Still on the subject of safety, Réseau TUB has made a vehicle available to the CISPD (intercommunal council for safety and delinquency prevention) for the filming of a film to prevent the use of PTC (Pète ton crâne), a drug popular with young people, especially schoolchildren.

Win-win partnerships for safer transport.
