Full Highway Closures for 43rd Annual Death Ride

ALPINE COUNTY - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following full highway closures on State Route-4 (SR-4) and SR-89 for the Death Ride cycling event. Closures are scheduled as follows:

DEATH RIDE

  • Full highway closure of State Route 4/Ebbetts Pass from Lake Alpine to Jackass Gulch Bridge on Saturday July 13, 2024, from 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Full highway closure of State Route 89 from the Alpine/Mono County line to the SR-4/89 junction on Saturday July 13, 2024, from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Full highway closure of State Route 89 from Markleeville to the SR-4/89 junction on Saturday July 13, 2024, from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
