City Buildings Closed Monday November 11 In Observance of Veterans Day

Des Moines, Iowa- Friday, November 8, 2024 - The City will observe the Veterans Day holiday on Monday, November 11, 2024. Most City administration buildings will be closed for the day and will reopen on Tuesday, November 12.

There will be no delay in collection of garbage, recycling, or yard waste, and vital public safety and fire services will continue to serve the community. For more information, visit DSM.city/HolidaySchedule.

All branches of the Des Moines Public Library will be open during the holiday.
