Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. CQ Brown, Jr., spoke with Chief of the Israeli General Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi yesterday by phone.

The two leaders discussed ongoing security developments in the Middle East and the need to de-escalate tensions across the region.

The U.S. is actively striving to mitigate tensions across the Middle East region and foster enduring security and stability in close collaboration with international allies and partners.
