BMT becomes a Signatory of the UK Police Industry Charter

We have signed the UK Police Industry Charter, marking a significant move towards fostering stronger collaboration and innovation in public safety. This partnership underscores our dedication to supporting law enforcement agencies in their mission to serve and protect communities through cutting-edge technology solutions and services.

Launched in March 2024, the Police Industry Charter establishes foundational principles that industry partners and UK policing can collectively adhere to, promoting interoperability, transparency, professional development, sustainability, and collaboration. These principles align seamlessly with our commitment to operating as a transparent, collaborative, and responsible management consultancy.

Christian Ellis, Head of Government and Security Consultancy at BMT, said,

"Having spent years in policing across operational and technical consultancy roles, I fully understand and support the principles underpinning this charter. This initiative from policing is a clear path to bringing suppliers together in an effort to develop better systems and services that meet the complex demands faced by police forces. We are particularly pleased to see the inclusion of sustainability, an ever-growing concern in the face of the climate emergency. BMT is undergoing a transformation to commit to net zero initiatives, and it is encouraging to see similar efforts across the policing landscape."

Ellis added,

"Signing the UK Police Industry Charter solidifies our dedication to enhancing public safety through innovative technology, transparency, and collaborative partnerships."

We have partnered with UK policing and national crime-fighting agencies, empowering officers with cutting-edge technology, digital solutions and services. This includes facilitating seamless interaction with colleagues and the public, streamlining data collection, storage, and sharing, and adopting innovative work methodologies. Our commitment extends to supporting emergency services' professionals with customised technology solutions and comprehensive managed services, spanning areas such as data centre environments, workplace digitisation, digital forensics, and cloud services integration.

Adopting a Peelian-inspired approach to ethical, modern policing, we prioritise security in every solution and service delivered. This resilient consultancy approach supports community and national crime-fighting efforts, fosters cultural change within UK Policing, and strengthens the foundations of law enforcement. The Police Industry Charter allows policing and suppliers to collaborate closely, delivering improvements together for better public services and outcomes. By embedding employees and delivering world-class management consultancy services, BMT continues to support the transformation of venerable police services, contributing to a safer future for communities across the UK.
