DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene Statement Celebrating Independence Day

DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene released the following statement celebrating Independence Day:

"Happy Independence Day! Today we celebrate the founding of our nation, the ideals it was built upon, and the pursuit of equal rights, freedom, and democracy for all.

"House Democrats know that there is still much to be done to deliver on the promise of our nation's ideals. It's something we have to work on, fight for, and nurture every day. That is why, when we retake the House, we will pass legislation like the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and the Women's Health Protection act to build up our democracy and defend our freedoms for everyone.

"So as we celebrate today let us renew our commitment to the principles that bind us together as Americans and strive to secure a better future for generations to come."
