Convicted Felon Arrested for DUI, Firearm Possession in Capitol Hill

Seattle Police arrested a convicted felon for diving under the influence and possession of a firearm in Capitol Hill Monday night.

On July 22nd at 10:11 p.m., patrol officers located a suspicious vehicle missing a license plate in the 800 block of East Harrison Street. They determined the driver was impaired and in possession of narcotics paraphernalia.

While investigating, police observed a gun inside the car. They served a search warrant on the vehicle and recovered a loaded, semiautomatic Polymer80 firearm as evidence. Suspected narcotics and paraphernalia were also seized.

The driver is a convicted felon and is not legally allowed to have a firearm.

The 42-year-old male was placed under arrest for Physical Control While Intoxicated and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. He was booked into King County Jail.

Detectives with the Gun Violence Reduction Unit have been assigned to this case.
