Fall fun for the whole family at Mesquite’s PumpkinFest

Join the City of Mesquite for an afternoon filled with fall-themed fun and entertainment with the annual PumpkinFest on Oct. 19.

The family friendly community event will be from 12-5 p.m. at Paschall Park, 1001 New Market Road. Attendees can also trick-or-treat from local artisan vendors with a complimentary treat bag from event sponsor America's Credit Union.

Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite costumes and enter the costume contest as well as the pumpkin pie-eating contest sponsored by Celebration Station. Leashed pets are welcome at PumpkinFest and can participate in their own costume contest to win prizes from PetSmart. Other event sponsors include Dallas Regional Medical Center and Navy Federal Credit Union.

PumpkinFest features a variety of free and paid attractions. Free activities include stage performances, a magic show, arts and crafts, hayrides, and all competitions. For $10, attendees can purchase a wristband granting access to premium activities such as a 26-foot rock wall, inflatables, face painting, and, new this year, a balloon artist. A selection of food vendors will be on-site with items available for purchase. Parking is free.

Artisan vendor opportunities are still available. Interested parties are encouraged to apply via the link provided below.
