WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) applauded passage of the Senate Resolution designating July 17, 2024 as Glioblastoma Awareness Day.
"I'm proud to join my colleagues in raising awareness of glioblastoma and the devastation it has caused for too many Americans, including Senator Barrasso's wife, Bobbi, and our late colleague John McCain,"said Senator Scott."It's critical that we continue to promote medical innovation and research so we can eradicate this terrible disease and put an end to the suffering that comes with it."
The resolution is also cosponsored by U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Kyrsten Sinema (I-Ariz.), Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.), John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Edward Markey (D-Mass.), Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), and Christopher Coons (D-Del.).
