On Thursday, 21 November 2024, the European umbrella organisation for Internet Service Providers (ISPs), EuroISPA, confirmed the re-election of its Board members. Among them is Lars Steffen, Director International, Digital Infrastructure & Resilience at eco. In addition, the Board of the association was expanded to include Dalia Coffetti (AIIP, Italy).
As an association, EuroISPA represents the interests of more than 3,300 ISPs vis-à-vis the EU institutions in Brussels. With a large number of members coming from national ISP associations and larger companies in the Internet industry, EuroISPA represents the diversity of the European industry: from small providers operating in local markets to large corporations operating worldwide. Accordingly, the association is committed to a growing, innovative and fair Internet ecosystem with its manifesto for the EU 2024-2029.
The members of the Board re-elected on Thursday 21 November 2024 include the President of the Association Elina Ussa (FiCom), Vice President Lars Steffen (eco - Association of the Internet Industry), Treasurer Alex de Joode (AMS) and Board member Romain Bonenfant (FFTélécoms). The Board is completed by its new member Dalia Coffetti (AIIP).
On his re-election as Vice President, Lars Steffen says: 'I am very happy to continue serving as Vice President of EuroISPA and to articulate and defend the interests of our members vis-à-vis the EU institutions in Brussels together with my colleagues on the Board.
