Sam Cooper Boulevard Lane Closures

Beginning on Friday, August 2, 2024, at about 8:00 p.m., Westbound lanes will be closed on Sam Cooper Boulevard between I-40 and the Mendenhall Road overpass to allow City contractors to repair beams on the bridge. The repairs will last approximately 14 days. Two westbound lanes on Sam Cooper are expected to be closed during the first week of the bridge repair project. One westbound lane will remain closed for the second week of the project.

Motorists who use westbound Sam Cooper Boulevard between I-40 and the Mendenhall Road overpass may want to use an alternate route or expect delays.
