The City of North Port Communications Division earned state and national recognition for its recently redesigned website, NorthPortFL.gov.

The City was named a Silver Circle Award winner last week in the category of Overall Website at the national 2024 Savvy Awards Competition hosted by the City-County Communications & Marketing Association (3CMA) in Arlington, Texas.

The Savvy Awards, held in conjunction with 3CMA's Annual Conference, recognize outstanding local government achievements in communications, public-sector marketing and resident-government relationships. Entries are judged by professional communicators from across the United States.

Earlier this month, the City earned a Golden Image Award from the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) in the "Digital Tools of Public Relations - Website" category.

Founded by FPRA in 1957, the Golden Image Awards have been a standard of public relations excellence recognizing outstanding public relations programs in the State of Florida.

The City launched its redesigned website last year, creating a more user-friendly interface and making it easier for residents to access important information and services. It features improved navigation, faster load times and a sleek design that reflects the City's brand.

The Communications Division led design and development efforts in partnership with Granicus, a national leader in government website development.

"Our award-winning website is just one example of how our team delivers exceptional service to our community, quickly and efficiently," City Manager Jerome Fletcher said. "We're proud of their efforts and daily commitment to excellence."
