DHL Supply Chain Ships Key Business Processes to Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite

Blocked canals, port congestion, truck driver shortages, a bridge collapse, and geopolitical conflicts have made the logistics industry front page news. At the same time, businesses and consumers have an ever-decreasing tolerance for delayed shipments. In this challenging environment, it's never been more important for companies running agile and resilient global supply chains to have a tight grip on their finances and operations.

That's why it brings me immense pleasure to congratulate DHL Supply Chain, a world leading logistics provider with around 17 million square meters of warehouse and operational space in more than 1,500 locations worldwide, on winning "The Best Use of Oracle Cloud in Finance" award in the 2024 Oracle Excellence Awards.

DHL Supply Chain needed to simplify and optimize its core business processes as it scaled its global operations to meet demand. With Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), DHL Supply Chain has been able to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve controls as it expanded globally.

"As our company grows to meet increasing customer demand, we're continuously facing new financial complexities and challenges. To maintain our position at the forefront of our industry and sustain longstanding growth, we needed to optimize and future-proof our global operations. With Oracle Cloud ERP, we have transformed our accounting services by standardizing financial processes across 40+ countries to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and accelerate decision-making."
-Dietrich Franz, Chief Financial Officer, DHL Supply Chain.

Like many of our customers, DHL Supply Chain paired Oracle Cloud ERP with Oracle Fusion Applications for HR and supply chain management. For example, Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM) has enabled DHL Supply Chain to centralize HR processes, improve the employee experience, and effectively manage its global workforce. In addition, Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), part of Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM), has helped it enhance transportation processes to reduce delays, mitigate shipping risks, and accelerate fulfillment.

Stepping back, Oracle Fusion Applications Suite has enabled DHL Supply Chain to take advantage of the cloud and the latest advancements in AI to break down organizational silos, standardize and accelerate processes. With quarterly update cycles, DHL Supply Chain also has access to continuous innovation as new features are added every 90 days.

I want to congratulate Dietrich and his team on the success they have achieved with Oracle Cloud ERP, and look forward to seeing how DHL Supply Chain's business evolves as new features and capabilities from the Oracle Fusion Applications Suite are adopted.
