Data privacy – think before you throw!

Throwing paper documents containing personal data in the waste bin or the recycling can have serious implications for the person concerned, should the information fall into the wrong hands.

How can I safely destroy paper documents containing personal data?

Use a shredder. If you are unsure of where you can find one, contact your departmental secretariat for information.

Furthermore, do not hesitate to spread the word by downloading the poster prepared by the Data Privacy Coordination Committee.

So, don't let personal data leak… please use a SHREDDER.
