Murder Suspect Returned To Nashville Following Arrest In Tipton County

Through coordination between the MNPD Homicide Unit, Specialized Investigations Division detectives and the Tipton County Sheriff's Office, murder suspect Rickey Starks, 24, was taken into custody in Covington on an outstanding grand jury indictment for his involvement in the July 7th fatal shooting of London Montgomery on Hamilton Crossings.

Montgomery, 23, of Memphis, was found with gunshot wounds in the driver's seat of a stolen Mercedes SUV after it crashed into a retaining wall. The motive was drug-related.

He was returned to Nashville last night and charged with first degree murder. He remains jailed on $500,000 bond.
