Meeting with the Ambassador of Germany to Uzbekistan

On October 31, 2024, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Uzbekistan Manfred Huterer.

The parties exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan, the efforts of the international community to prevent a humanitarian crisis in the country, as well as the possibility of using the international transport and logistics hub in Termez to deliver humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.

M. Huterer highly appreciated the efforts of Uzbekistan to develop a consolidated regional position on Afghanistan, as well as to establish long-term peace and stability in the country.

The parties expressed mutual interest in continuing bilateral consultations on the Afghan issue.
