SCDOT installs all-way stop at Riverwood Drive and Old Kings Highway in Georgetown County

Columbia, S.C. (July 19, 2024) -- The South Carolina Department of Transportation is in the process of installing a new roundabout at Riverwood Drive and Old Kings Highway in Murrells Inlet in Georgetown County. As part of this construction, the original two-way stop intersection has been temporarily changed to a four-way stop.

This roundabout is part of a five-stage intersection improvement project that began in June. The first stage of the project is currently underway and the project is expected to be completed in Spring 2025.

SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving through work zones.
