President Joe Biden announced he's ending his 2024 campaign for president and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris.

"It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President," the 81-year-old commander in chief wrote in a letter he addressed to "My Fellow Americans. "And while it has been my intention to seek reflection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.

Biden had been facing pressure to exit the race following his poor debate performance against Donald Trump in June.
