FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BALTIMORE, MD (Monday, December 9, 2024) - Today, Mayor Brandon M. Scott was joined by Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks (BCRP) Director Reginald Moore; Dr. Elaine Simon, founder of the Baltimore Caribbean Festival; and Tonya R. Miller Hall, the mayor's Senior Advisor of Arts & Culture to announce the 2025 dates for Artscape, AFRAM, the Baltimore Caribbean Festival, and Charm City Live.

"Starting in May, we will have not just one, but four spectacular events coming to Baltimore. Over the years Artscape, AFRAM, the Baltimore Caribbean Festival, and Charm City Live have become more than just fun for the whole family," said Mayor Brandon M. Scott. "These events are cornerstones of our communities that provide opportunities for local artists to shine, for businesses to thrive, and most importantly, for our residents, and visitors to come together and build lasting connections."

The festival dates are as follows

  • Artscape will take place Memorial Day Weekend on Saturday, May 24, and Sunday, May 25, 2025.
  • AFRAM will occur around the Juneteenth holiday on Saturday, June 21, and Sunday, June 22, 2025.
  • The Baltimore Caribbean Festival will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, and Sunday, July 13, 2025.
  • Charm City Live will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

More details on all four of these festivals will be released in 2025.

Additionally, effective January 1, 2025, the City will be updating its public-facing special events calendar to help ease collaboration and planning efforts for events across Baltimore, allowing City departments to allocate resources more effectively, reduce operational strain, and facilitate better coordination with external partners. This updated calendar will include Non-Permit Dates so that external partners and the public can plan events around the availability of City services.
