MPD Arrests Suspect in Northwest Robbery

The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a suspect involved in a robbery in Northwest.

On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at approximately 10:23 p.m., officers responded to the 2500 block of 13th Street, Northwest for the report of a robbery. The victim reported she was walking outside when the suspect snatched the victim's phone from her hands then fled the scene.

Investigators from the Real Time Crime Center quickly tracked the stolen cell phone's location. The suspect was located and placed under arrest, and the stolen item was recovered. As a result of the detectives' investigation, a 14-year-old juvenile male of Southeast, D.C., was charged with Robbery.
