Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. CQ Brown, Jr., met with Chairman of the Republic of Korea (ROK) Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Kim Myung-soo today in Tokyo.

Gen. Brown and Adm. Kim discussed the current security environment on the Korean Peninsula and in the Indo-Pacific.

Gen. Brown additionally expressed his gratitude for Adm. Kim attending the first Trilateral Chiefs of Defense Meeting in Japan and his anticipation for the next Military Committee Meeting this fall in Washington, D.C.

The United States extended deterrence commitment to the ROK is ironclad and is strengthening the U.S.-ROK Alliance to maintain peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.
