PRESIDENT KATONIVERE SHARES LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE
His Excellency the President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere met with members of Leadership Fiji at the State House this afternoon. [04.10.24]
In his capacity as the Head of State and the Turaga na Tui Macuata, President Katonivere shared his experience in traditional and national leadership, stating the challenges and expectations associated with being a leader.
His Excellency highlighted the importance of engaging traditional leaders in formal leadership training programmes to enhance their leadership capabilities.
The delegation also learnt about President Katonivere's humble beginnings and how His Excellency valued hard work, dedication and his people. A testament to this is President Katonivere spearheading the conservation movement of marine resources in Macuata.
The Leadership Fiji Program allows its members to explore their own values, philosophies, prejudices and beliefs through a variety of issues offered by the program; provides close interaction with Fiji Island leaders in fields such as the private sector, non-governmental organisations, government ministries, youth groups and faith based organisations.
