The Horsepower Super Week will be held in Jyväskylä in July-August 2024, as the 100th anniversary of Kuninkuusravit 26.-28.7.2024 trotting race is organized at Killeri horse race track in Jyväskylä. After the excitement of trotting races, the roar of horsepower will move to the gravel roads of Jyväskylä Region as the Secto rally Finland 1.-4.8.2024 takes place in Jyväskylä once again.

Horsepower will soon be roaring in two ways, as the popular major events Kuninkuusravit (July 26-28) and the Finnish World Rally Championship Secto Rally Finland (August 1-4) will both take place in Jyväskylä during late July and early August. The dynamic Horsepower Super Week will also be evident in downtown Jyväskylä, bringing life particularly to the pedestrian streets.

Rally Street will open once again, and during Super Week, Kauppakatu will become a bustling market area. The first sales booths will be set up on July 25, and the street will quiet down on rally Sunday. Traditionally, there will be food, licorice by the meter, shirts, and more for sale. The arrangements are handled by the Jyväskylän Sydämessä association.

Downtown services and the best deals can be easily found both in the brochures distributed to hotel rooms and on the Jyväskylän Sydämessä association's website via a Google My Maps map.

In anticipation, the windows of vacant business premises have been decorated for Super Week with window stickers, which will be done during week 28.

Hand and Footprints of Finnish Rally Winners on Display at Tawasti Shopping Center from July 15 to August 30

An exhibition called the Rally Finland Walk of Fame, showcasing the hand and footprints of Finnish rally winners, will be set up right in the heart of Jyväskylä at the Tawasti Shopping Center (Kauppakatu 33-35).

There are a total of 15 plaques on display, 14 of which are dedicated to drivers and one to the founder of the Finnish Grand Prix, Pentti Barck. Drivers from various decades have left their marks in concrete, with the first drivers winning the Finnish rally in the 1950s and the most recent in the early 2000s. The plaque exhibition also features photos of the individuals immortalized in the exhibit.

The imprints of gas pedals and steering hands were first displayed in 1996. This summer as well, the wall of honor can be admired in the corridor of the Tawasti Shopping Center.
