The site will continue to be operated by the state and accept state debris haulers. The site is undergoing these changes as resident debris drop-off cannot be safely accommodated at the same time as large-scale state debris operations.
To date, the state has removed more than 655,000 cubic yards of debris from state and county roads in Pinellas County.
Resident and commercial debris drop-off locations remain available in Pinellas County as directed by the county and local city governments. Pinellas County storm debris disposal sites are currently open and operational at the following locations:
For residents living in unincorporated Pinellas County
For residents and businesses with contaminated sand on their property
For commercial haulers with household appliance debris
For commercial haulers with construction and demolition debris
For commercial haulers with vegetative debris
Residents and commercial haulers may visit Pinellas.gov/debris for more information and resources on storm debris.
Residents in need of assistance removing debris from their homes may visit HopeFlorida.com and fill out of the disaster assistance form or call 1-833-GET-HOPE to be connected with private sector, nonprofit and government resources through Hope Florida.
