The Fargo Police Department Requests Public's Help in Locating Shooting Suspect

Gregory Thomas LaCroix has been identified as a suspect in the shooting

The Fargo Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating Gregory Thomas LaCroix who has been identified as a suspect in a shooting that occurred at approximately 2:28 a.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2024, in Fargo.

LaCroix, a 37-year-old Fargo resident, shot the adult male victim once at 3rd Avenue North and Broadway, and fled the scene before officers arrived. The victim was transported by ambulance to a local medical facility where he was treated for serious injuries.

If a member of the public locates LaCroix, they are advised to refrain from approaching or attempting to apprehend him. Members of the public are encouraged to call 9-1-1 and relay relevant information with accurate details (such as the location LaCroix was last seen, his last known direction of travel, descriptions of the clothing he was wearing and information about anyone who may have been accompanying LaCroix).

Anyone with other information about LaCroix's whereabouts is asked to contact 9-1-1.

"The Fargo Police Department is leveraging all available resources to investigate this case and apprehend the suspect. We appreciate any information the public can provide to help the FPD make an arrest," stated Capt. William Ahlfeldt of the Criminal Investigations Division.
