Campus was alive with the Hullabaloo spirit as the Tulane University Marching Band performed for the crowd.

Tulane students, families, alumni, staff, faculty and Green Wave fans gathered last week to celebrate Wave Weekend '24, featuring Homecoming, Reunions and Family Weekend. With nearly 90 events on the schedule to choose from, attendees had their pick of reunions, concerts, tailgating, open houses, academic lectures and, of course, the big game! We rounded up some of the best moments of the wave-rolling week, and you can see even more on Instagram. (Photos by Kenny Lass)

The Tulane community came to Yulman Stadium in droves to cheer on the Green Wave football team during the Homecoming game against Temple University. Tulane toppled Temple with a dominant 52-6 victory. Tulane President Michael A. Fitts hyped up Green Wave fans with high fives and Roll Waves during the game. The 2024 Tulane Homecoming Court took to the field during halftime. Makenzie Sanders and Kaia Todd, pictured with flower bouquets, were crowned Homecoming royalty. Green Wave fans tailgated on the Berger Family Lawn ahead of the big game. Tidal Wave Thursday awoke campus with festivities at the Lavin-Bernick Center for University Life. Tidal Wave organized an afternoon of crafts in line with the theme "Life on the High Wave." Students joined in decorating custom road signs, trucker hats, passports and more. By combining Homecoming, Reunions and Family Weekend into one giant celebration, Wave Weekend at Tulane is a time for all to revel in the special bond that makes us Tulanians. The Tulane community celebrated the new National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) plots with a ribbon cutting on Friday. The landmark recognizes the historically Black Greek letter organizations and will serve as a public space for students, alumni and community members to gather, reflect and celebrate the rich history and continued work of organizations within the NPHC. The Tipping Point concert at The Orpheum Theater featured a studded lineup, including headliner Emmylou Harris. The 8th annual fundraising concert benefits student scholarship support. B. Freeman School of Business. The Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (OGPS) hosted the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition in Freeman Auditorium, which gave graduate students the chance to present years of research in just three minutes. PhD anthropology student Adebimpe Adegbite received the grand prize, and OGPS will cover costs for him to compete in a regional 3MT competition against students from approximately 40 other universities across the south. Adegbite's research focuses on using proverbs, in the home, to teach Yoruba language to children who otherwise would not acquire the language.
