State Police investigate a fatal motorcycle crash in Lyons

On October 5, 2024, at approximately 2:41 p.m., troopers from SP Williamson responded to Layton Street Road in the town of Lyons for a motorcycle accident with serious injuries.

A preliminary investigation revealed a 2005 Harley Davidson, operated by Roger A. Silcox, age 59, of Lyons, NY, was traveling southbound on Layton Street Road when it exited the roadway and struck a tree. Silcox was transported to Newark Wayne Community Hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

This is an ongoing investigation.
