September is National Suicide Prevention Month

September is National Suicide Prevention Month - a time to remember the lives lost to suicide, acknowledge the millions more who have experienced suicidal thoughts, and the many individuals, families and communities that have been impacted by suicide. If you or someone you know is having suicidal thoughts, please encourage them to call or text 9-8-8.

Radon Detector Kits are now available for checkout at all library locations through a partnership with the University of North Dakota. Each kit contains instructions on how to use the device and what to do if high levels of radon are detected.

The Library's Design-a-Bookmark Contest returns for the 15th year and is open to all ages. Contest forms are available at all library locations. The top designs will be made into bookmarks that will be handed out at all library locations.

As part of its continuous efforts to connect with youth in our community, The Fargo Police Department added at Sticker Coloring Contest at the Community Picnic this year. Three winners were chosen and their designs were turned into stickers and magnets to be placed on squad cars; the three winners even had a chance to tour the police department headquarters.
