Seasonal Fire Restriction in Effect: August 1 - September 29, 2024

Due to prolonged and extreme fire danger and the lack of available firefighting resources, fire restrictions will increase on the Tahoe National Forest effective on August 1, 2024 until September 29, 2024. Under increased restrictions all campfires, smoking, shooting, and charcoal BBQs are prohibited on Tahoe National Forest lands and recreation areas. Forest Order No. 17-24-16 triggers Sierra County Ordinance No. 1130, which imposes seasonal fire restrictions on private property in Sierra County. For more information on, please visit:
