NOTICE OF FINAL PAVING - GOSHEN ROAD (CR 615) RESURFACING IMPROVEMENTS

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, NJ - The final paving operation of Goshen Road (CR 615) will commence on Monday November 25 and conclude on November 27. The contractor will be installing the final surface course paving within the Stage I and Stage 2 portions of Goshen Road that have been under construction. Also included will be, the milling and paving of the county's maintenance paving portion of Goshen Road, which extends about 1.5 miles north of Timothy Lane, to the south approach of Bidwell's Branch culvert. This will be a daytime paving operation between the hours of 7:00am to 5:00pm.

To safely execute the work, Goshen Road will be limited to a one-way (northbound) direction of travel during working hours, south bound traffic will be detoured. Traffic travelling along Route 47 north and south will be detoured onto Hand Avenue (CR 658) south. At the end of each day, Goshen Road will be re-opened to two-way traffic.

Due to the nature of the paving operation, local residents are advised that there may be times when access to their homes will be unavailable as the paving operation proceeds along the frontage of their properties. However, immediately after the asphalt has been placed and has cooled, local traffic will be permitted to drive over the new paving to gain access to their homes. Residents should prepare for the paving operation by limiting any unnecessary trips through the work zone. Emergency access will always be maintained.

Residents should expect to hear some construction noise during the operation and could detect minimal vibrations during the asphalt compacting process. Upon completion of the paving operation, Goshen Road will be re-opened to two-way traffic. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution upon completion of this paving operation as the roadway centerline will not be striped but will be delineated with temporary stick down reflectors.
