Census Bureau Appoints Three Members to New 2030 Census Advisory Committee

SEPT. 27, 2024 - The U.S. Census Bureau today announced the appointment of three members to its new 2030 Census Advisory Committee (2030 CAC).

The 2030 CAC members, who represent various stakeholder organizations, groups, interests and viewpoints, have extensive decennial census and survey experience. Under its charter, the 2030 CAC will assist the Census Bureau in devising strategies to increase awareness of and participation in the next decennial census, reduce barriers to response, and enhance the public's trust and willingness to respond.

Each panel member will serve a three-year term and may serve an additional term at the director's discretion.

The 2030 CAC's Fall Meeting is set to be held Thursday, Oct. 17 (8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. ET) and Friday, Oct. 18 (8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. ET). The meeting will be open to the public via webcast. For more information and the agenda, visit 2030 Census Advisory Committee Fall Meeting.
