NJ PBS’s “Chat Box with David Cruz” Partners with League of Municipalities to Host On-Site Discussion with 2025 NJ Gubernatorial Candidates

November 21, 2024 - Atlantic City, NJ - NJ PBS, New Jersey's public media network, and the New Jersey League of Municipalities are partnering to present a unique forum for the declared candidates for New Jersey's 2025 Gubernatorial election that will air and stream on an NJ PBS series. To be recorded on-location in Atlantic City as part of the League's 109^th Annual Conference, NJ Spotlight News Sr. Political Correspondent David Cruz will moderate discussions with declared major 2025 gubernatorial candidates for an upcoming episode of Chat Box with David Cruz, the NJ PBS public affairs series. It will stream Thursday, November 21 at 6pm on the NJ Spotlight News YouTube channel and broadcast Saturday, November 24 at 6pm and Sunday, November 25 at 10am on NJ PBS (check local listings).

To date, the following declared major 2025 gubernatorial candidates are expected to participate: Democrats Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop, former State Senate President Steve Sweeney, NJEA President and former Montclair Mayor Sean Spiller; and Republicans Senator Jon Bramnick and former Senator Edward Durr (subject to change). Those representing each side of the aisle will be moderated separately and discussion is expected to include topics such as the national political landscape, affordability, immigration, education, the environment, NJ Transit and more.
