Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP recently announced that accomplished employee benefits and executive compensation attorney Jeff Witt joined the firm as partner in the Washington, D.C., office.
Upon the announcement, Witt spoke with Law360 Pulse's Jack Rodgers to discuss why he joined MMM. Witt and Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation practice Chair Ed Emerson began their legal careers together and share similar philosophies.
"And one of the things that we share is our perspective on the practice. What we have tried to do individually in our careers is be able to provide the best client service, so being responsive, being able to answer complicated questions in plain English and then providing practical solutions," Witt told Law360.
Witt also expanded on how MMM's Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation practice's expanded footprint in the Washington, D.C., market will positively impact success for clients.
"But also add another dimension, where we're right where all the federal policy-making is happening, and so that gives an added insight that we can bring not just to the D.C. clients but to all our clients across the board," Witt said.
