The Bismarck Fire Department has recently conducted a structural collapse training exercise. The training aims to enhance the department's preparedness and response capabilities in the event of building collapses and other large-scale structural emergencies.
This week-long training was held at the station four training tower, where firefighters will engage in hands-on scenarios designed to simulate real-life incidents involving compromised buildings due to natural disasters, fires, or other catastrophic events. Our primary goal is to be fully prepared for any emergency scenario that could arise in our community. Structural collapse incidents can be complex, and this training helps to ensure that the BFD is well-equipped to save lives and mitigate damage in such events.
