Important Updates for Scientific Sessions 2024:

  • Scientific Sessions 2024 will be in-person only; educational sessions will not be available for virtual attendance. Scientific Sessions OnDemand will be available after the meeting, details TBA.
  • Journalists who plan to attend the meeting in person must register for the meeting as a meeting attendee to secure your badge/access to attend Scientific Sessions. On site registration opens at 10 am CT, Friday, Nov. 15 in the News Media Center, Level 5 of the South Building, McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago.
  • The anticipated 2024 embargoed news briefing schedule will include at leastone news briefing after 12pm CT on Friday, November 15, the day before the official start of the meeting.

Reminder:
ALL Journalists must have separate, approved login credentials to access the embargoed, media-only SS 2024 password-protected newsroom (PPN).

The PPN link will be provided here one-two weeks prior to Scientific Sessions.
  • Those without current PPN credentials may apply when the link is available.
  • Journalists with current credentials may use their login to access the SS 2024 PPN.
  • Those who have not accessed the AHA's main PPN within the last calendar year must re-apply; some criteria for access may have changed.
NOTE:
You must have access to the SSPPN to view and participate REMOTELY in the embargoed, livestreamed, Late-Breaking Science (LBS) News Briefings.
  • Access to the AHA's live, embargoed Late-Breaking Science News Briefings is available to registered, accredited news media only and requires pre-registration once the PPN opens. Once logged in to the SSPPN, go to the Livestreams tab on the top menu and select a news briefing.
  • The information and registration link for the briefing will be on the left column. Log-ins cannot be shared and are unique to each individual. Multiple log-ins via the same access link will be removed automatically.
