STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO HOST PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING ON RESURFACING PROJECT IN THE VILLAGE OF LIVERPOOL IN ONONDAGA COUNTY

The New York State Department of Transportation will host a public information meeting on Wednesday, October 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. pertaining to an upcoming resurfacing project on Oswego Street in the Village of Liverpool, Onondaga County.

The informal, open-house style meeting will be held in the auditorium at Liverpool Middle School, 720 Seventh Street, Liverpool, NY 13088. Preliminary project plans will be available for review and NYSDOT representatives will be available to answer questions. No formal presentation is planned.

Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in the spring of 2026. The project will resurface Oswego Street, beginning at South Willow Street and extending north to Tulip Street. Additional work will include updated traffic signals, new crosswalks, improved pavement markings, and ground mounted sign replacements. Existing sidewalk, pedestrian ramps and signals, will also be updated as necessary to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The open house is part of NYSDOT's continuing effort to encourage public participation in the development of transportation projects.

The Liverpool Middle School auditorium is accessible to people with disabilities. Please contact TeNesha Murphy at 315-728-425 if a sign language interpreter, assisted listening system, or other accommodation will be required to facilitate your participation in the open house. For additional information on the project, please email [email protected].
