Feature articles highlight OJJDP's commitment to keeping youth out of adult correctional facilities and the San Francisco Family Treatment Court's emphasis on family-centered programming, an approach designed to promote safe family reunification. Additional stories focus on Shimaine Holley, who overcame a childhood filled with trauma to launch an organization devoted to enhancing the well-being of children and families, and programming offered by the Squaxin Island Tribe designed to ground youth in their culture and help them reconnect with their ancestors.
