PennDOT's Washington County Maintenance Update – Week of September 30, 2024

Uniontown, PA - Washington County Maintenance Manager Susan Howard has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of September 30. All maintenance activities depend on weather and operations.

Motorists can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights. Safety is everyone's responsibility.

Bridge replacement:

• Route 3009 (Sunset Beach Road) in Buffalo Township

Brushing and tree trimming:

• Route 221 (Dunn Station Road) in Morris Township

• Route 2015 (Spring Valley Road) in North Bethlehem and West Bethlehem townships

Mowing:

• I-70 Ramp 8014 (Jefferson Avenue) in the City of Washington
• Route 136 (East Beau Street) Park and Ride in South Strabane Township
• Route 221 (Green Valley Road, S Bridge Road) in Buffalo Township
• Route 519 Ramp 9501 in North Strabane Township
• Route 837 Ramp 8025 in Donora Borough

Patching:

• Interstate 70 in Buffalo, Canton, Donegal, and North Franklin townships
  
• Route 2015 (Spring Valley Road) in West Bethlehem Township
• Route 2047 (Little Creek Road) in Amwell and North Bethlehem townships

Pipe replacement:

• Route 2007 (Hackney Station Road) in Amwell Township

Seal coating:

• Route 221 (S Bridge Road) in Blaine, Buffalo, Morris, and South Franklin townships
• Route 3017 (Valley View Road) in Donegal Township
• Route 3022 (Mount Zion Road) in Morris Township
• Route 3033 (Burnsville Ridge Road) in East Finley, Morris, and West Finley townships
• Route 3035 (Burnsville Ridge Road) in East Finley and West Finley townships
• Route 3041 (Cash Day Road) in Morris Township

Slide repair:

• Route 2015 (Spring Valley Road) in West Bethlehem Township
• Route 2063 (Beallsville Road) in Deemston Borough
  
• Route 4012 (Center Street) in Smith Township

Crews will pick litter, replace downed and updated signs, and address work orders on various state routes countywide.

PennDOT has a toll-free number - 1-800-FIX-ROAD (1-800-349-7623) - for residents to report road maintenance concerns and locations of dead deer on state highways.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1 or following regional X alerts.
