SHP Alumni Highlight: Cristin Crawley, MS, CHWC

[Link]With a passion for health and a background in lifestyle health sciences, Cristin Crawley, MS, CHWC, guides her clients on transformative journeys toward better well-being. The 2022 graduate from The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth's Department of Personalized Health and Well-Being currently works in the heart of Irving, Texas, as a certified health and wellness coach at CareATC.

As a CHWC typical day for Crawley involves personalized one-on-one coaching sessions tailored to each client's needs. Drawing from her education in nutrition, exercise science, and behavioral change strategies, she creates holistic wellness plans that integrate seamlessly with clients' lifestyles. Collaboration with medical professionals ensures a comprehensive approach that addresses both physical and emotional health.

"My education at HSC was invaluable," Crawley said. "It equipped me with the tools to empathetically engage with clients and foster lasting behavior change."

While rewarding, this role presents challenges - such as motivating clients amid busy schedules - but the rewards are equally significant. Witnessing clients achieve health milestones and enhance their quality of life fuels Crawley.
