MARIETTA, GA - The City of Marietta is pleased to announce the selection of Jessica Giancola to serve as the new Director of the Marietta Gone With the Wind Museum at Historic Brumby Hall and Gardens. In this role, Giancola will oversee the organization's operations and events, bringing her extensive management experience and passion for history and literature to the museum.
Prior to assuming the role of Director, Giancola supported marketing and event planning at the Marietta History Center. Before joining the City, she served many years in the private sector as a regional manager in the property management industry, where she led diverse portfolios and teams. Giancola's leadership experience and broad skill set will be invaluable in furthering the museum's mission and enhancing its community impact.
"I am excited to have Jessica in this role leading the museum," said Daniel Cummings, Assistant City Manager for Economic and Project Development. "With her skills and experience, she will be able to honor the collection and facility while allowing for new growth and advancement."
About: Opened in 2003, the Marietta Gone With the Wind Museum features an extensive collection of memorabilia from the iconic book and film. In 2018, the museum was relocated to Historic Brumby Hall, a picturesque Marietta home built in 1851. The property, just a mile from the Marietta Square, also offers beautifully manicured gardens which are open to tour and are available for event rentals.
