Several Scenic Spots and Museums in Beijing Now Open on Mondays

Starting from July 15 until August 31, Beijing municipal parks and the Museum of Chinese Gardens and Landscape Architecture will cancel their usual regulations of closing cultural relics and ancient architecture courtyards, inner gardens, and museums on Mondays and fully open them to the general public seven days a week to further improve their service capacities. Specifically, these include the Buddha Incense Pavilion (佛香阁) in the Summer Palace, the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests (祈年殿) in the Temple of Heaven, Qiongdao Island (琼岛) in Beihai Park, Shouhuang Hall (寿皇殿) in Jingshan Park, and various venues within the Museum of Chinese Gardens and Landscape Architecture.

In the meantime, Beijing's major municipal parks are fully prepared to extend their services for the peak summer season.

Each municipal park and the Museum of Chinese Gardens and Landscape Architecture are now equipped with 182 free emergency first-aid kits, 31 AED stations, over 190 items of heatstroke prevention medicine across seven types, and 12 types of cooling products such as cooling patches, and more than 600 kinds of refreshments including drinking water, cold drinks, and ice creams for their visitors. Furthermore, they are offering services like providing sunshades, free drinking water, and emergency rescue, not to mention the improved broadcasting services for notices. Additionally, 127 locations within the parks and the Museum of Chinese Gardens and Landscape Architecture, including visitor service centers and commercial outlets, offer free hot water and air-conditioned areas for tourists to cool off from the heat.
