Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP investigates break and enter, seeks public's assistance locating urn

Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP is investigating a break, enter and theft that occurred sometime around June 21, 2024, at Goose River Lodges campground, which is located on Route 520 between Happy Valley-Goose Bay and Sheshatshiu. Police are seeking assistance from the public to locate a stolen urn.

On July 6, 2024, police received the report that a camper trailer parked at the campground was broken into and that an urn containing ashes was stolen. The urn is a glass skull and is sealed with purple wax. An image is attached.

The investigation is continuing. With great sentimental value, loved ones remain hopeful for the return of the stolen property.
